In addition to the Shop Orientation, you must receive Proficiency Training from Shop staff before using the planer, as well as approval of each operation.
The planer reduces a board's thickness and makes its faces parallel and smooth. It is typically used after the jointer to mill stock to final thickness.
Only clean, solid wood. See packet for full list of restrictions. Materials subject to approval of shop staff.
Wood must be at least 14" (36 cm) long, 1/4" (6 mm) thick, and have one reasonably flat face in order to plane safely, subject to approval of shop staff. See packet for full list of restrictions.
The Jaroma can plane stock up to 24" (61 cm) wide and 10" (25 cm) thick.
