Cadet Band – This is typically our freshman wind band class. All incoming freshman (woodwind or brass) who don’t qualify for Symphonic Band are in this class. (Course Code - 030360)
Concert Band – This is our intermediate wind band class. All 10-12 grade students (woodwind or brass) who don’t qualify for Symphonic Band are in this class. (Course Code - 030302)
Symphonic Band – This is our advanced wind band class. All students (9-12) in this class audition to be put in this class. This class is audition only. (Course Code - 030320)
Percussion (Front Ensemble) – All percussion students are put in this class who didn’t make the drumline (9-12). (Course Code - 013219)
Percussion (Drumline) – All students who auditioned and make the drumline are put in this class (9-12). This class is audition only. (Course Code - 013219)
Jazz Ensemble – This class is open to any student (with previous music training) wanting to participate in jazz band with band director approval. (Course Code - 030304)

App Percussion- In percussion class you will learn how to play battery, keyboard, and accessory instruments and pursue a more in-depth study of styles and techniques on these instruments. You will learn music theory. You will also play music related to the marching band and concert band. (Course Code - 013219)
App Music Brass – Trumpets- In trumpet class you will pursue a more in-depth study of styles and techniques on your instrument and learn music theory. You will also play music related to the marching and concert band. (Course Code - 013148)
App Woods – Flutes- In flute class you will pursue a more in-depth study of styles and techniques on your instrument and learn music theory. You will also play music related to the marching and concert band. (Course Code - 013162)
App Woods A – Clarinets- In clarinet class you will pursue a more in-depth study of styles and techniques on your instrument and learn music theory. You will also play music related to the marching and concert band. (Course Code - 013162)
Band Woods A – Alto Sax and French Horn- In alto sax and French horn class you will pursue a more in-depth study of styles and techniques on your instrument and learn music theory. You will also play music related to the marching and concert band. (Course Code - 013162)

Symphonic Band: This is the premier ensemble at THS. Students will be recommended for placement based on playing audition. Students will participate in the Crimson Pride Marching band, Christmas Concerts, District and State Assessment, Mardi Gras Parades, and Spring Concerts. Students will be required to attend after school rehearsals throughout the year. Will meet during the school day at scheduled time as a full ensemble. Placement in ensemble is a full year commitment. Concert Band: This is a performing ensemble made of students with exceptional musical ability. Students will be recommended for placement based on playing audition. Students will participate in the Crimson Pride Marching band, Christmas Concerts District and State Assessments, Mardi Gras Parades, and Spring Concerts. Students will be required to attend after school rehearsals throughout the year. Will meet during the school day at scheduled time as a full ensemble. Placement in ensemble is a full year commitment. Cadet Band: This is a performing ensemble made of students with developing musical ability. Students will be recommended for placement based on playing audition. Students will participate in the Crimson Pride Marching Band, Christmas Concerts, District and State Assessments, Mardi Gras Parades, and Spring Concerts. Students will be required to attend after school rehearsals throughout the year. Will meet during the school day as various sectionals of like instruments: Flute/Saxophones, Clarinets, Low Brass/ High Brass. Placement in ensemble is a full year commitment. (Course Code - 030360)
Colorguard: Colorguard also known as Crimson Belles is the Auxiliary unit for Crimson Pride Marching Band and is the performing indoor Winterguard. Students will be placed in by audition. Performances include but not limited to football games, marching festivals, indoor competitions, and Mardi Gras Parades. Auditions will take place in the spring semester prior to the school year.
