This course addresses the four of the five core concepts (1, 2, 3, 5) in the Louisiana Student Standards for Computer Science.  

 computing basics, including computer hardware and components, operating system software, application software, network basics, and internet use including Google Apps. Lessons are organized in modules to have a logical progression to build on previously learned concepts and features.  The use of teamwork projects and critical thinking activities enhances learning.  Students are utilized in helping to maintain our desktops in classroom, offices, and computer labs and in setting up Chromebook carts, and installing printer software for teachers and staff when needed.  This adds hands-on experiences and re-enforces what is learned in the classroom activities.
