This course investigates the structure and properties of matter. Emphasis is on the interactions of matter. Other content includes bonding, balancing and writing equations, mole problems, stoichiometry, and lab reports in addition to relying heavily on the integration of math. A research paper and science fair project is required. This course heavily integrates mathematics. It is suggested students be enrolled or completed Algebra II.
Honors requires completion of a science fair project and qualifies for 5.0 grade points.
