Food Service I Course Description
Within the course, students will learn: the basic principles of cooking, food safety, food preparation, cooking techniques, and will demonstrate their knowledge within a cooking lab setting. In addition, students will also gain the knowledge of customer service and employability skills. A lab fee is required for the course.
Food Service II Course Description
This course is an extension of Food Service I. Within the course, students must display prior knowledge from previous cooking classes. In addition, students will continue learning: different cooking techniques and skills, customer service, restaurant management, and will focus on advanced cooking principles. Students are expected to display skills and knowledge within cooking labs on a weekly basis. A lab fee is required for the course. Must have the prerequisite Food Service I. Only juniors and seniors are permitted.
