We were busy bees during our short Thanksgiving Week. We worked hard Monday and Tuesday morning getting ready for our special Manners Meal on Tuesday afternoon.
We created paper woven placemats, turkey centerpieces, place cards, read stories about manners and Miss Brose's favorite story that helps us to understand why we pray to God for the food we eat. (Macaroni and Cheese, Hot Dogs and Peas by Christine Hickson). We also learned how to set the table and how to be responsible with our silverware.
The class looked great on Tuesday and had such a fun time setting up their table space and enjoying their fancy meal! I was so proud of all of them working hard to remember their table manners and just enjoying the special day!
Wednesday we enjoyed chapel in the morning, snack, recess, some stories, and some hidden picture activities before it was time to head home for lunch and our long weekend.
November:
24th - Special Manners Meal Celebration - Kindergarten students are asked to wear their fancy "church clothes" to school (Parents- see the Monday Moments email for more information)
25th - Minimum Day - Kinder dismisses starting at 11:20
26th-27th - No School for the Thanksgiving Holiday
FOOTBALL FRIDAYS
September 11th through the end of the NFL season
It’s Mr. Klemp’s favorite time of year….football season! All students are welcomed to sport their favorite NFL football team by wearing an NFL team’s t-shirt or jersey every Friday through the end of the season. K-8 students must wear uniform bottoms. No NFL jackets, hats, sweatshirts, etc.. This is for NFL teams only. It will be fun to see which teams are campus favorites!
