The class has a great handle on classroom rules and routines! They rarely need reminders any more! If a child does need constant reminders for a behavior, and hey it happens to all of us sometimes, their monster in ClassDojo will also get a reminder.
ELA - We are working on different lines and pencil strokes that help with our handwriting and drawing. We have practiced vertical lines, horizontal lines, curved lines, and diagonal lines. Students have practiced going left to right, top to bottom, and curving to the left in our writing.
Math - The class continues to impress me with how well they are sorting groups of objects. This past week students were able to get onto IXL and work on their own to complete some of the sorting activities. suggested to them. They did a fantastic job!
Social Studies - We continued practicing the different continents and oceans, as well as where we fit into all of this. 🙂
Students practiced some more with handwriting paper that has a top line, dotted middle line, and a red bottom line. This paper helps our handwriting be more uniform.
Students continued enjoying taking Brain Breaks and dancing to some silly songs on GoNoodle. After the 10th song we do on that site our avatar grows! We know that we need to exercise our bodies and this is a fun way to do it!
Students have learned some more with Mojo on our ClassDojo website.
We created line and color art this past week. Students were encouraged to just add lines to the page and to really try and make sure it did not look like a picture. Rather it is up to the person viewing the artwork to decide what they see in it.
Kindergarten continues to have a blast in PE class with Mrs. Hopkins!
