ELA - Students learned about "bossy e" (also sometimes called magic e or silent e). This is when e is at the end of the word and tells the vowel on the other side of the previous consonant to say its name rather than its short vowel name. Students worked to change cvc words into cvce words. For example cap becomes cape.
Math-Students are working on solving math facts on their own.
Bible Study - Students studied the story of Doubting Thomas. Thomas didn't believe Jesus was alive until he saw Jesus with his own eyes and heard Jesus' words. Through faith, we see Jesus in God's Word and believe that He is the living God.
Science -Since Earth Day was this week students worked hard on many activities that showed how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. To finish off the week, students designed and created their own house of of recyclables.
Students are also learning about the 4 seasons and the different characteristics of each season.
