Welcome to the Kindergarten Classroom Website!

The website is going to be your go to place for parent resource pages, weekly updates, homework assignments, and more!

Please remember to talk to your child about wearing their mask all day in the classroom. They will be able to remove it for snack and lunch.

Students also take off their mask for a few minutes when returning to the classroom from recess to all ow their face to cool off and to allow them to hydrate.

If you haven't checked out the class' page yet, it is a great place to see daily pictures and updates. You are also able to comment on pictures and send messages to me in the app.

From the student view, your child can change how their monster looks, practice typing, draw digital images, and submit photos to me.

Welcome Back!

We are excited to be starting our second quarter!

If you haven't done so already be sure to log into Sycamore and check out your child's first quarter report card.

Please try not to focus on the percentage equivalent for the grades since we do not grade on a percentage scale in Kindergarten.
Please do not stress about seeing 2s ! When grading, I consider a 2 as a skill that a student is progressing in and meets some expectations (for me a 2 is where most students will be in first quarter as we are still learning and practicing skills. There is always room for growth)
If you have any questions about your child's report card please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Our second quarter is starting to get busy so please be sure to mark important dates on your calendar. I will also try to send reminder posts on ClassDojo before important dates or events.

13th - Believe Fundraiser begins - check your child's folder for all the information
14th - free dress day from the food collection drive. Please be sure to adhere to the handbooks rules for free dress days.
19th - 23rd - Red Ribbon Week

FOOTBALL FRIDAYS

September 11th through the end of the NFL season

It’s Mr. Klemp’s favorite time of year….football season! All students are welcomed to sport their favorite NFL football team by wearing an NFL team’s t-shirt or jersey every Friday through the end of the season. K-8 students must wear uniform bottoms. No NFL jackets, hats, sweatshirts, etc.. This is for NFL teams only. It will be fun to see which teams are campus favorites!
