Per our COVID19 Handbook:
Trinity Lutheran School requires that parents inform the Office Manager immediately if any of the following occur:
Student or household member travels outside of the state
Any household that has a visitor staying with the family that has arrived from out of state (Please provide a negative COVID test from all guests)
Student or household member tests positive for COVID-19
Student or household member is in close contact (6 feet for more than 10 minutes) with an individual that tested positive for COVID-19
***In each of the cases listed above, students will be asked to stay home for 10 days as per HDOH guidelines or until a negative COVID-19 test can be presented. Teachers will do their best to continue education via online learning until they are cleared by the HDOH.

State of Hawaii's Policy:
Please note that starting November 24th ALL travelers need a negative test before getting on the plane to come to Hawaii or will have to quarantine 10 days upon arrival.

If you haven't checked out the class' page yet, it is a great place to see daily pictures and updates. You are also able to comment on pictures and send messages to me in the app.
From the student view, your child can change how their monster looks, practice typing, draw digital images, and submit photos to me.
Recap of March 29th to April 1st
ELA - Student have been working on reading words with 4 letter sounds per word. The words begin or end with consonant clusters. For example: the "st" in "stop" or the "sw" in "swim"
Students have started reading through our new classroom reader book "Kit" they are working to read the stories "Kit" and "Kit and Stan" These are stories that contain words the students can all decode on their own.
Math- Students are continuing to work on solving addition sentences. Students are using various strategies like using a number line, drawing a picture, and using a tens frame.
Bible Study - Students studied the stories of Holy Week including Palm Sunday, The Last supper, Jesus Praying in the Garden, and Jesus being Arrested. Students will learn the rest of the story this week.
Science - Students are learning about how to take care of the Earth. Lately we have been learning about how to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Art - Students created stained glass cross pictures to bring home to decorate for the Easter Holiday.
