L5 - A capella Performances
Lesson Objectives:
To know what will make a successful a capella performance
To perform your 4 chord mash up
To evaluate your groups performance
PREPARE FOR LEARNING TASK
Upload a video of your group practising your performance of an A Capella backing track including beatboxing to your desginated classroom. Everyone in your group needs to be visible apart from the person taking the video, they are responsible for submit the video to your designated classroom.
Snapshot Task:
Task:
Your a capella group have been invited to take part in a 'riff-off' against another local school. You will need to produce a 2 minute performance that uses at least 2 songs.
Success:
A backing track that includes three melodic riffs with different articulations and timbres that are accurate to the I - V - VI - IV chord progression.
A rhythmic riff that first together with the melodic riffs and sets the tempo and keeps the pulse.
Sections of melodies from at least two songs that work well together.
