Unit 3: Power of Pentatonic

About this unit:

In this unit you will explore the immense power of the pentatonic scale! This five note scale is heard in a huge variety of music from different cultures and traditions including folk music from around the world, jazz and classical music. You will perform a well known pentatonic song, improvise and compose a pentatonic melody and analyse how a pentatonic scale and balanced melody is constructed.
