Surrealism Collage

The subject of my project is an underwater view on the right, and a beach view on the left, I included a purple/dusty rose colored cloud and a dog flying into the cloud. I used paper magazines to create the collage, and then to recreate the collage I used graphite to draw it, then I used all acrylic paint to paint the collage outline. I love both the beach and the water and I thought that they go together for the most part, then to spice it up a little, I added the cloud because I liked the colors in it and added the dog because I thought it was quite funny in my opinion.

I used the rule of thirds technique because I basically split up the whole paper to math the collage and I also had to split up some of the blues on the right so I could get that same dark/light blue effect. I didn't actually change anything except removing the diver in the the underwater image, I also decided to paint the dog just brown because the dog that I drew was way too small to blend in black with it.

I found the two landscapes in the same magazine, and I thought they were really pretty so I decided to use both of them instead of one, then I added in the dog and the cloud that I had cut out earlier from a different magazine. I love the ocean all summer I'm literally a fish, and I love the beach and all that I also love dogs so basically all of my favorite things are incorporated into this project. I honestly wouldn't change anything if I could, I'm really happy with the outcome of my project.
