Roanoke

This project has a "spooky" theme to it, It has the Roanoke house from American Horror Story, and llama with one brown eye and one "dead" eye and a lobster tail and a turtle. The watercolor is supposed to represent the sea, the grass, and the sky. For this project I used graphite, a ball point black pen, colored pencil, and water color paint. I decided to choose the Roanoke house because I thought the size of it would fit perfectly in the middle of the paper. It is arranged by the frontal view of a llama, a preview view of a turtle and a lobster tail, and a frontal view of the house.

For this project I used both the rule of thirds technique, in which I put different things in different square or places. And I used the pure contour technique, by putting every detail in each of the "sketches." I wanted the yellow bits in the bottom right corner to be more noticeable because it is apart of the show, but I just had to try my best to blend it in because it just simply didn't work.

I am a huge fan of American Horror Story and I decided to draw out the Roanoke house which is my favorite season of the show. So that was pretty much the story behind the whole thing, I chose the animals I did because I love all of them. This project relates to my life because it has pretty much all the things that I love. If I could change or revise anything in this project I would most likely add a few designs, make everything come together more.
