The setting of this project is a picture of myself that I chose to draw. I created this self portrait by using just graphite. I chose this picture because I really liked the way my head was positioned and I loved the way my hair and eyes looked.

I used the grid technique with this project, I used it on the whole project by putting grids on both the original picture and on the actual project just doubled. I changed my shirt because I couldn't get the design on the shirt quite right. I also changed my lips and my nose multiple times just because of the way it looked.

The story behind this picture was that I had taken this picture in the winter time a year ago out of complete confidence, really. This project relates to my life pretty much because it is a picture of myself. If I were to change or revise something in this project, I would change my lips and my nose as well as my hair.
