Wintery Scene

The setting of my project is a very wintery, ice blue scene. It is packed with blues, dark blues, and icy blues as well. I also tried to challenge myself to not use so much black towards the end and replaced it with a darker blue. I used just one material, which was oil pastels. I used all different kinds of colors to get the just right blueish green, I used black, green, and white when mixing. I chose this picture because I really liked the look of all the blues.

I used the gridding method by gridding both the image and the drawing paper, and did each square little by little. I honestly didn't change much because most of the time, I couldn't because you can't erase oil pastels very well.

I looked up a very icy scenery and this was the one that stood out most to me, and that was pretty much the story. I really love the winter time just because of how everything looks, there's white, there's the dark blues, the icy blues, I just love how everything comes together. I think I would try to be a lot more careful with blending because at some point I did start accidentally blending more than one square at once.
