Bora Bora Sunset

My creation is a sunset on the water with an island with a palm tree on it. I created this work by using sharpie, and colored pencils. I chose to create a sunset because I thought it would do well as a background, I also made a palm tree and island out of my previous creations because I that is what I saw out of it.
I used the low horizon technique while drawing this. I used this technique by separating the water and the sky with lines. I honestly did not have to change much while drawing this, I kind of focused on just sketching and seeing what it would turn into.
The story of this piece is quite weird. Ms. Medsker told us to not look down at our paper while drawing, so she asked us to focus on what we were drawing, in this case I drew myself, Sara, and my hand. This project relates to my life because I drew things that are in my life, and also I love sunsets and water, and anything tropical. If I had the chance to change anything in this project, I would most likely change how harsh the lines appear to look, I would blend those out more. But other than that, I am pretty happy with how this project turned out.
