Botticelli and Van Gogh

1/24/19

The setting of this project is a mix of very weird colors, as of Van Gogh. I also added mystical creatures because of Botticelli and the 15th Century Renaissance. I literally only used graphite and colored pencils. I chose to create it because I thought that mixing mystical with kind of weird color choices and weird little swirly things in the sky would kind of go well together.

I used the rule of thirds technique to help me place everything where I wanted it to go. I didn't change much, I went with my gut and my sketch and tried to make it as good as possible.

During the 15th Century Renaissance, the art was inspired by greek mythology and just mystical things, and Van Gogh focused on kind of being weird, using odd colors, which I thought was a good match. I really like the style of these two artists you know you have the mystical and the different or sloppy painting and I don't know I just really liked it. I would probably change the whole project because I actually worked really hard on this for at least five days and I just didn't know what I was doing wrong, so if I could do it again I would.
