The setting of my project is my cat laying on my bed. I made this drawing with pretty much all charcoal and just a little bit of black ink on her tail. I chose to create this project off of this image because I love this image of my cat. I loved the way she was laying and I loved the contrast of grays and lights with the black and white filter.

I used the grid method for this project by taking the original image and putting grids on the image, then I did some math and did the same grid just doubled. I didn't change much with this project because I just went square by square so it was pretty easy to stick to what I had originally planned.

The meaning behind this project is that I love the way my cat's position was and i love the way that her tail was just there in the back the way it was. I love cats so much it's insane so that's pretty much how this project relates to my life. I think to make this project stronger, I would work more on the shape of Gary and more on the highlights as well. Overall, I really like the way this drawing looks, I mean I guess I am happy with how it turned out.
