The main idea that guided me through this artwork was the idea of sketches I had to make a stamp that had an equal white and black showing and choose the sketch to make as the stamp.
The materials I used for this artwork were different color printing ink, rollers, the carving tool with different gauges, watercolor, colored paper, drawing paper, glass rectangle, and the linoleum block. The glass rectangle, rollers, and printing ink were all steps that helped me be precise while printing my final prints on the final pieces of drawing paper, or the colored paper for the "non-white paper" print. The watercolor was used for my extended piece to add on to the print.
During the process of this artwork, I had to re-carve parts of the linoleum block so I was able to get the exact print I wanted as well as using a practice sheet to try all of my prints before putting it on my final papers. I decided to use watercolor for my extended print to add different colors to the black ink print and to match my leaf print.
