The Colorful Rain

Newspaper, Glue, colored paper, watercolor paint on cardboard

For this artwork,  the main idea that guided me through this artwork was the two artists I chose to create a piece.  I chose these certain artists, Jaune Quick-To-See-Smith and  Henri Matisse because Jaune has a unique way of background with newspaper and dripping paint. Henri Matisse does abstract and cut-out pieces of paper. The two together make an inspiring and cool-looking artwork.

The materials I used for this artwork were glue, newspaper, colored paper, and watercolor paint on cardboard.  The cardboard helped everything stay together and the watercolor dripped nicely across the newspaper.

During the process of this artwork, I was inspired by Jaune Quick-To-See-Smith's drip of paint and unique newspaper backgrounds. Along with Henri Matisse's abstract paper cut-outs to make an artwork that had a person in the middle of the paint dripping around them like its raining.
