Zoomed Shoe

Artist Statement

The main idea behind my abstract shoe was Halloween, I love Halloween and I wanted to do something festive with my art since we had a lot of freedom with it.

I made this by starting on a piece of 11" x 14" printmaking paper, and then used a ruler and a graphite pencil to do a 1/2 inch border all around the paper. I then chose what zoom of the shoe I wanted and used a 2H pencil to draw the outline, once that was complete I used a fine point sharpie to outline it, then drew in the designs of the plaid and chose colors and colored in all the blank white spaces.

some revisions I made was on the colors, I was gonna do all pink shades and then added a purple. I changed my mind on designs a couple of times.
