Artist statement

A couple of summers ago I bought a big acrylic paint kit so I could try painting on canvas after I saw one of my friends from a group I was in with the same kit. I bought canvases and watched youtube video tutorials on painting landscapes. I really enjoyed doing these paintings so I decided this weekend for my final project I would do an acrylic painting and see how much growth I have had with painting since doing my last ones. I found a youtube tutorial since I had not painted in a while and listened to music while I took my time with the painting. My biggest struggle was the moon so I took my little plastic container and traced it around it. I used a little makeup sponge to smudge the clouds. There also are a couple of black smudges near the waterline that I did not fix because I did not want to mess up the wet paint.
