Artist statement

The main idea behind this work was to create a piece of artwork regarding organ and tissue donations, I wanted to do something that had a little meaning behind it, so I did a skeleton with a heart in it so try to show people that when you are dead you will not need your organs or your tissue and you should donate them.

to create this artwork I started by thinking of an idea I liked then I got some paper for colored pencils and I did a 1-inch border around the whole thing. then I used light up tracing pad to do the skeleton and then added details and the red heart with colored pencils. after that, I got a grey colored pencil and did the background. I used a fine point sharpie to do the words.

Some revisions I did was deciding what type of skeleton I wanted to draw, I first wanted to do a cartoon looking skeleton and then erased that and changed it to a more realistic looking one.
