Realistic Self-Portrait

Artist Statement

the main idea for this artwork was to use graphite pencils to make a self portrait

I created this artwork by printing out a photo of myself then drawing one-inch lines through it and adding those lines to a different piece of paper, after that I used a variety of B graphite pencils to go square by square copying down the lines and darkness of the spots.

Some revisions I made was going back and making lines darker and shading more.
