The main idea behind this work was to create a duck drawing in water for the duck stamp project.

to create this artwork I started by doing research on ducks and chose which type of duck I wanted to draw. I chose a gadwall duck because I liked the brown color on them. After looking at photos of the ducks I decided to do a gadwall duck in the water. I first sketched the duck outline with a graphite pencil and then I used green shades of colored pencil to do the background of the water. after that, I used brown and black, and yellow to draw the duck and do the details of the feathers.

Some revisions I did was adding waves and ripples to the water I think it made a big difference.
