Colored Candy

Artist Statement

the main idea that guided this artwork was creating a shaded sphere with shadows and a light spot.

to create this artwork I started on a piece of blank white 9" x 12" paper, I then used a circle template and traced 4 different sized circles with my graphite pencil, I then used a ruler and made a horizon line for each circle. after that I used markers to shade and color in the areas of the circle, and then did the same with the colored pencil, and watercolor.

after using all these materials on each circle, I have decided that colored pencil is my favorite to draw these circles with and are easy to overlap with if you make a mistake.
