Artist Statement

To create these I started by drawing two boxes on a piece of paper and choosing a design for it, I chose a flower and then drew it in each box, after that I used a sharpie to color all the parts I wanted dark and light, after that I got a linoleum block and a tray and used carving tools to carve out every part I wanted white. then I put ink on the tray and spread it around, I used a roller to roll it onto my lino block and then I pressed 3x5 pieces of paper down on the ink. I repeated this with a different color too, and then did my extended version with colored pencil.
