Shoe + Hand Pure Contour
Drawing Pencil and Paper
12" x 9"
These drawings were very typical to a normal pencil drawing, but with no shading and just variations of lines. I chose the position of my hand because it was simple and straightforward, but still showed enough detail. This only relates to my life because I drew my own hand and my own shoe.
I used only graphite pencils and drawing paper for these drawings. I started off with 2H pencils, then darkened with B. For my shoe drawings I of course used my shoe as a model and I used my hand and a rubber band for a model for my hand drawing.
The process I used was pretty basic and simple, just like most other drawings. I started off with a model for all 4 of these drawing, so I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like. I started off by sketching the prominent lines that appeared on my models, then went in to use more detailed, small lines. I made all lines with my 2H pencil to begin with, but then went back in with a B pencil and darkened whichever lines that needed to be darker.
