Colored Candy

The first drawing is 4 different shaded spheres using different materials and the second drawing is a drawing I did of a cup of candy canes on my wooden dining room table.

I used colored pencil, marker, watercolor, and mixed media for the drawing on the left. For the drawing on the right I used graphite pencil and colored pencil.

I experimented with the first one by using lots of different materials, and just trying to get the lighting right because I've never drawn spheres before. In the one on the right I experimented by shading and by trying to incorporate the background without fading out the candy canes. I feel like I could've done better with some darker lines and colors but I still like the shapes and perspective of the drawing.
