Tall Man, Tiny Arms
Paper, graphite, sharpie.
9" x 12"
My prompt was to draw a person with tiny arms, big legs, and a big mouth. I decided that these features would fit best on a person that looked crazy, or a lot different than your average character/person. I gave him the big smile and the crazy eyes, and him running towards something, maybe in an angry manner. I figured this depiction would fit well with the prompt I chose.
The materials I used for this drawing were normal 9 by 12-inch paper, graphite, and a sharpie. I started out with a sketch with a light pencil, then I outlined it with a sharpie. The reason why I filled in his legs with the sharpie was that I wanted to use the same shade of black for the whole drawings, and I wanted the big legs to stick out the most. I figured all black legs would catch the eye of whoever was looking at the picture.
I did a drawing prior to this one and drew a long person in a supermarket shopping. There was a regular person looking at him in shock. I liked this idea at first, but the way I drew it did not sit well with me halfway through, so I decided to go with this version of the prompt. I felt as though they definitely needed to stick out somehow, so I made his look crazy and in the act of chasing something, definitely out of place.
