For these time capsules, I had to draw a self-portrait, a still life of an object, and a perspective of the corner of a room. I would then do this later on in the year and compare the drawings, to see how much I had improved.

For all three of these drawings, I used graphite. I used this medium because I was time-restricted and tried to avoid making mistakes, and I don't really like using things other than graphite pencils. It took around twenty, to twenty-five minutes for each drawing and used graphite for all of them. I would use push harder to darken some lines, and apply less pressure for some of the sketchings when using a pencil. For the still life drawing, I drew an eraser. I put the eraser in front of me and just simply drew what I saw. For the corner-of-the-room-drawing, it was basically the same as the still-life drawing. I picked a corner and just drew what I saw. Lastly, for the self-portrait, I drew myself using a mirror.

When starting this, I felt good because I drew a still life first, which is the best out of the three drawings. Things started to go downhill when I drew the corner of a room though. I did not have any experience in perspective and had no idea how to go about doing it, so I just drew, and it could have been better. And lastly, my self-portrait, which is about a 1/10 to be blatant. I am definitely lacking in this type of drawing, the realism of faces, I don't do well with them, and never had. So I knew this going into drawing this, but I never would have thought it would come out this bad, honestly, I was surprised at the end result. I can only hope I will be able to improve on my self-portrait skills. (Though, anything would be better than this )
