Artist Statement:
Throughout this project, the main idea that guided my artwork was the lines of my zoomed-in shoe because by looking at the lines of my three different zooms I was able to make my final drawing.
For my three zooms, I used graphite pencil on drawing paper, but for my final drawing, I used graphite pencil to draw my lines from my zoomed shoe, but later used watercolor as a background and added patterns using marker on top of the watercolor as well as adding some sharpie outline to a few flowers. I did my final drawing on watercolor paper.
I started by taking my side view of my shoe drawing and creating my three zooms from that drawing. After I had my three zooms I chose one of them (my last one) to create my final drawing with. I started by looking at it and thinking about what I could do and I decided that I could put a road between the two lines at the bottom and put different patterns in the spaces around the world as a road through patterns.
