Donate Life

Artist Statement: 

The main idea that guided my work is the Donate Life organization as well as my love for landscapes. For this artwork I knew I had to include the saying " Organ and tissue donation" and when I think about saving lives, I think about how they would get to see the world again. 

For this artwork, I used colored pencils on Bristol board because I feel the most comfortable with colored pencils and I thought for this artwork it would be easier to do the trees with. 

Throughout the creation of this artwork, I started with two simple ideas and chose to do the landscape option as I love drawing landscapes, it also kind of fits this project as if you save someone's life through organ and tissue donation, they can see the world again. I then started sketching this out on Bristol board and colored before adding my phrase.
