Ink and Charcoal

This project was done using only ink and charcoal. I started this project by taking a picture of a road from a car, then I printed the picture and gridded it. After that I took a separate piece of paper and gridded that with the same grid as the picture so it had the same amount of squares.

After making the grids I began to recreate the picture. I started at the top right corner and went square by square focusing on each one individually. All parts that is car I did in ink and the rest I did in charcoal.

I really like this piece of work and I grew to have a love hate relationship with charcoal. My favorite part of this is the road and the bottom of the car I was really happy with how that came out and I think it looks very realistic.
