Cheese Taco
This project started with me coming up with an inquiry question. My inquiry question was “How can I use color to express tacos in acrylic paintings”. I had already had the idea for this project going into it. I started with the background. I made a bunch of triangles and other shapes and filled them in with pinks blues greens and purples. I outlined them in sharpie so that they were cleaner and shaper.
After the background, I started on the taco. I had left white space in the middle so I could put the taco there. I used yellow acrylic paint for the taco it was hard for it to go over the other colors but it went over the white just fine. After I finished the basic part of the taco I added more detail to the shell, the cheese didn’t really need any detail.
I really enjoyed doing this project especially because I felt like it had more meaning to it because I had spent the time to take a picture of this taco and to paint for my project. My favorite part in the final this and to paint was defiantly the background.
