Extended Gelatin Print

This is my gelatin print extension. This piece of art was made by taking a Gelli square and rolling ink on to it. Then I took different materials for this print I used pine needles, a feather, and rope. After the ink dried I extended it by using pencil and water color. I decided to do this scene because the feather made something that I thought looked like reeds and the the rope made it look like a foggy sky so I was going to just do water but I thought that would be a little boring so I drew a boat also.

I used a print for the center of this piece and I used lighter and darker colors on the boat to make the inside look darker. I also used different blues and greens in the water to make it so it wasn't one blob of blue. The biggest change in this picture was extending it but other changes were from going to all water to a boat and with that I changed what was going to be a log to a doc that the boat is tied to.
