The story behind this piece is that I had to create a design that would encourage teenagers to donate their organs and tissue when they die. This piece relates to my life because I might become an organ donor or I might need an organ transplant someday in my life.

I used sharpies to outline the sleeping mask and all of the pillows and colored in some lungs, hearts, liver, and a bone.

I started this piece with the sharpies and outlining the pillows and the sleeping mask, I then used colored sharpies to make the organs on the pillows. I then used oil pastels to create this rainbow-like background and used a blue sharpie to write the words: "When You Fall Asleep, Allow Others To Wake Up With Organ + Tissue Donation". My art evolved when I added the colored background. My next steps would be to blend the oil pastels more.
