Duck Assemblage
The story behind this piece is that a duck was the first animal that came to mind when I was brainstorming this project. This piece relates to my life because I love ducks.
I used cardboard for the base, newspaper for the base, covered the whole thing in tin foil using hot glue and then covered the whole thing in paper from a magazine cover. I also used white spray paint and orange and brown acrylic paint.
I started off by cutting out a 2D outline of a duck then made it 3D by using newspaper, as to not waste tin foil, then I covered it in tin foil using hot glue to make it stick. Then I used a magazine cover and cut "feathers" out of it and glued them in a duck-like way. After that I spray painted it white so it would be easier to paint and then used orange and brown paint to add detail. My art evolved when I added the brown and orange paint. My next steps would be to add more detail with the paint.
