• In the period 1450-1750, oceanic voyages resulted in the Columbian Exchange, which transformed the eastern and western hemispheres. 

  • Develop an argument that evaluates how the Columbian Exchange affected peoples in the Americas in this time period.

• • • Rulers continued to use religious ideas, art, and monumental architecture to legitimize their rule.  The Yongzheng Emperor (r. 1722-1735) was no exception.  According to his paintings, he fought tigers and hung out with dragons.

    • Your job is to create an action shot of him doing something nearly as awesome as the actual art of the 18th century celebrating him.  

• Within the period from 1450 to 1800, compare the processes (social, economic, political) of empire building in the Spanish Empire with the empire -building process in ONE of the following. 

  • The Ottoman Empire

  • The Russian Empire
