1. Who are you doing research with this summer and what kind of research project are you doing?
Dr. Alysson Light (no longer with USciences) & somewhat with Dr. Skolnik (SJU) Behavioral Analysis of Self-Perceived Bias on Positive and Negative Feedback
2. What do you find fascinating in the research you’re doing?
Humans are unpredictable, so you never know what kind of data you are going to collect with each new subject that comes into the lab,
3. What skills are you learning through the USURF experience?
I am learning how to use more advanced psychophysiological equipment and measures such as the BioPak.
4. What are the challenges you’re encountering in your research?
COVID and the merger have made it much more difficult to meet in person There is not as much previous research out there on measuring threat v challenge framework in reference to physiological response data.
5. How is your USURF experience impacting the way you view your field?
I know that this is the type of research that was meant for me. I like to study behavior and this has solidified my interest in the field.
6. Tell us something interesting about yourself.
My goal is to continue working on some type of research when I continue my education in medical school.
