About USURF (USciences Summer Undergraduate Research Fund)
The USciences Summer Undergraduate Research Fund (USURF) has been made possible largely through the donations of Mr. Marvin Samson, CEO of Samson Medical Technologies. USURF was a mechanism to support undergraduate students from the former University of the Sciences who were interested in conducting summer research under the mentorship of a faculty member. Support also came from Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS STEM Equity Research Program), the Friends of USciences, and USciences Honors College. USURF ran for almost 10 years until it was integrated with the Summer Scholars Program during the merger of USciences and Saint Joseph's University.
