In June 1, 2022, the University of the Sciences and Saint Joseph's University merged into a combined university. A new Center for Undergraduate Research was formed and continues to promote undergraduate research at both campuses of SJU.
About 40 SJU students attended the "Get Involved in Undergraduate Research" Fall Panel Discussion on Nov. 11, 2022. Guest student researchers included Caitlyn Ulmer(Pharm/Tox), James Hannigan (Pharm Chemistry), Jackie Wurman (Neuroscience) and Annie Winkler (Biology).
In the Fall of 2021, over 70 students attended each of two CUR Workshops on "Get Involved in Undergraduate Research" (left) and "How to Apply for Paid Research Experiences and Internships" (right).
In August 2021, Chief Bioscientist and Director of Science Content at The Franklin Institute, Jayatri Das, PhD, led a science communications workshop for 56 undergraduate student researchers from Philadelphia-area colleges. The workshop, entitled SciCom101: What, Why, and How to Engage Public Audiences is the second of its kind held at the University. The workshop was funded through Dr. Roberto Ramos's IREG Grant from the Charles Kaufman Foundation.

Dec. 5, 2019 Franklin Institute's Director of Science Content and Chief Bio-scientist Jayatri Das, Ph.D. held a Science Communications Workshop with over 60 USciences undergraduates. The event involved exercises on listening, reflecting, expressing and story-telling and was funded by the Charles Kaufman Foundation, a supporting organization of the Pittsburgh Foundation.
Dec 3, 2019 The Fall 2019 CUR Research Speed-Meet: a very popular research speed-dating event between USciences faculty and undergraduates involved 16 faculty making it possible to hold over 70 meetings with students in under one hour!
