Subject: Resources: Economic Impact Payment Information

Good afternoon everyone,

I wanted to reach out and share updated information from the IRS about the stimulus checks that have been sent out as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have heard from many people that they have received the stimulus check but a lot of people may be unaware that they are entitled to receive a payment. These might include people who don’t normally file taxes because they have low income, are recipients of Supplement Security Income (SSI), or are veterans

Can you reach out to your networks to make sure that they know that even if they don’t file taxes, they might likely still be eligible for the stimulus check? People who haven’t received their stimulus check and who didn’t file taxes this year can register here: Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info. They have to register by October 15 to receive the stimulus check. If they have any issues completing this form, they can call the IRS’ EIP telephone assistance line at 1-800-919-9835.

We want to make sure that everyone who is eligible to receive a payment gets it, especially those who are experiencing financial burden due to coronavirus.

All the best,

Carlos Murillo Villaseñor | District Representative
