Community Development Week - April 22 - 26, 2019
Hello Neighborhood Leaders!
The Department of Community and Human Development is proud to have successfully deployed 45 years of the Community Development Block Grant and Home Partnership Grant. We are equally proud of all the other opportunities our team has to serve the El Paso community. Community Development Week is about celebrating all of the projects, programs, initiatives and people that make the work possible.
The week begins with the Rededication of Borderland Park where CDBG has funded improvements for the last 20 years. Throughout the week we’ll be highlighting issues ranging from the Face of Homelessness to the importance of the Decennial Census to affordable housing and financial empowerment for all. Civic engagement, volunteerism and community inclusiveness is the theme that ties the whole week together…..so that means a spotlight on how El Paso is and will continue to be an All America City!
