LOCATION OF PROJECT (ex. Park name, physical address or street names)

Coach Jack D. Quarles Park, corner of River Bend and Little Lane

PROJECT GOAL STATEMENT (1 paragraph that states the main goal of the requested project):

To keep the neighborhood safe and free of after-dark loitering people and to keep the park free of beer bottles and other trash generated by after-dark loitering people.

PROJECT BACKGROUND (1 paragraph that explains the community need for the requested project AND how the project will address that need):

Coach Jack D. Quarles has become a delightful walk/run/cycling area for neighbors and thousands of dollars of landscaping and trees have been invested. Unfortunately, after-dark loiterers are creating noisy disturbances and leaving trash because there is no illumination at the park entrance.

PROJECT SCOPE DESCRIPTION (Describe the project scope. Please be as detailed as possible, and if applicable, include quantities, distance measurements, and/or desired specifications for project items.):

Install two lampposts to brightly illuminate the vehicle parking area in front of rock wall entry to the Park as well as behind the rock wall where loiterers congregate. Illumination should cover the span of the entrance to include at least 10 feet on each side of the rock wall entrance. Recommend that the lighting be from 9pm to 2am or that lampposts be equipped with motion sensors which beam light for about 2 hours at a time between the hours of 9pm and 2am.
