Maybe you've heard all the stories about me and what a bad girl I was back in the old days, after I got myself kicked out of the godly realms? Yeah, well, I admit it, I did a lot of stupid things back then. Young and foolish and angry; not a good combination. Especially in a god.
I'm trying to make up for it nowadays. Okay, I can't cancel out what I did before -- but I can still do what I can, right? Help the people who fall in between the cracks, that the other gods, the higher and mightier, miss out on."
Vanadys is technically the oldest living being in the world; she was the first of the gods to be created, and she was the first to walk the mortal realms -- largely since she was banished to them before they were even fully finished.
Back when the Light created the ten original gods, they were given the task of creating a world for him to return to. The gods fell into arguing among themselves and couldn't agree on how to make the world -- most notably, they couldn't agree on whether they would create a world with or without magic. Vanadys, the oldest yet least powerful of them, got tired of all the fighting and sought to take matters in her own hands. Which she did by splitting the half-finished world in two and telling the other gods that "now you can each take one half and do as you please."
Angered because she had upset their work and ruined the world they were creating, the other gods banished her to "wander the world you have destroyed, never to return to the realms of the gods."
As someone who's been around since the beginning, Vanadys has "seen it all before," and this often makes her seem aloof and haughty (and more than a little grouchy and sarcastic). In the past she made a few really big mistakes -- to the point where the "Fallen Goddess" is still usually depicted as the villain in most legends and folklore. She has a real soft spot for the underdogs of the world, though, and age and experience have tempered her anger and impatience. Nowadays she mainly seeks to help people and make up for past misdeeds.
