"Hi, I'm Beca. How are you? Yeah, I'm a pirate and one of Captain Nera's crew, but that's okay, I'm not on the job right now. Gotta take some time off to catch up on my sleep, right? Besides, it's not as if they can sail without me; I'm the navigator. Not to boast, but I can find my way anywhere on the magic sea, in any kind of weather -- but then, I'm a sea elf, it comes naturally.

Life as a pirate is fun. At least it is when you're on the Black Pike and serving under Sis... I mean Captain Nera. Yeah, she's a bit of a hardcase, but she's not really too bad. Very understanding, and... huh?

Oh, hey, Sis. ...Captain! I mean Captain! What am I doing? Well, I was just... oh, right, get back to work. You meant NOW. Okay."

Beca is a sea elf and also happens to be Captain Nera's half-sister. And this is probably the main reason why she's still on board the Black Pike -- Beca may be a capable seafarer and excellent navigator, but she's also a lazy slacker who never does any more work than she absolutely has to and is more likely to be found asleep on deck or goofing off than she is doing her duty.

She's also got a bit of a smart mouth and often can't resist making small comments or jokes at inappropriate moments, and she tends to look out for number one before she thinks of anyone else. She is, however, quite fond of children and animals, and is quite kind to them -- she especially looks out for Lydia, the youngest crewmember, and has taught her how to read and write.

She has a cat named Kitty, who works as the ship's cat and keeps the galley free of rats and other vermin.
