"Hi, my name's Lydia, and I'm a pirate!"
At nine years old, Lydia is the youngest crewmember of the Black Pike, and may be the youngest pirate girl in the world. She's the daughter of Arlena and Doctor Coppa, and was born onboard the ship. And while some of the pirates weren't too keen on traveling the magic sea with a howling baby on board, it wasn't long before Lydia was the darling of the entire crew.
Her first years she spent mainly in a sling on her mother's back, carried safely around during daily ship's work as well as during plunderings. When she grew older she was climbing the riggings and swimming like a dolphin almost before she could walk, and she knew the ship in and out and moved around the ship as well as any sailor before she was five, occasionally assisting her father with repairs or her mother with the cooking.
She still works in the galley for the most part but helps out with odd jobs on the ship, usually the tasks that are easier for someone small to do.
She's a sly and cunning child, and also a quite good actor, which has often given her the job of going undercover and spying for the crew... After all, who would suspect a sweet little girl of being in league with pirates? She hero-worships Captain Nera and Prince Rhuno and will do just about anything to impress them.
