The Meddlers (Agardyn Peacekeeper Troops)

The Agardyn Peacekeeper Troops are a pseudo-militaristic organization based in the country of Agardyn. If consists mainly of humans, dwarfs and wights -- though a few elves and even a small number of dragons have signed up too -- and are made up of smaller semi-independent squads where one sergeant (identifiable by the white five-point star on his or her headgear) leads two, three or four privates. Each squad is equipped with protective and offensive magical gear, and might at any time be sent anywhere in the magic lands, at times of crisis or just to investigate potential goings-on, with the basic goal of keeping the peace, upholding the law and Doing Right (with capital letters).

The general attitude to the Troops is mixed. While it's agreed that they do a lot of good, a lot of people aren't too happy with how they always show up where they're not wanted and get involved in everything -- this is what's led to their collective nickname "the Meddlers."

While they don't officially hold any authority in any countries apart from Agardyn, very few state leaders or governments want to ban them outright -- after all, they are paid their wages by Agardyn and as such function as free law enforcement, and they have vast resources to call on if needed. It's not a coincidence that the living standards and general safety of the populace of several countries has drastically increased since the Meddlers started getting involved.

This particular squad, Squad 43, is a trio -- the smallest unit of Meddlers ever sent anywhere, and for some reason they tend to continually bump into a certain Fallen Goddess and her crew.

The Sergeant is Bruma of Clan Hagrir, a competent and efficient dwarf, though she does have a bit of a pessimistic and cynical streak, she complains and grumbles a lot and often takes on the role of a long-suffering "what-have-I-done-to-deserve-this?" martyr, especially when dealing with one overeager Private who shouts a lot and one hulking brute of a Private who wasn't the first in line when brains were handed out. There's also the fact that that rascal Berrok keeps flirting with her, and she's not quite sure she doesn't like him a little better than she really should...

Private Eren is a sun elf, and one of the few elves to have signed up for the Peacekeeper Troops. She's the most eager and gung-ho member of the squad, and despite her petite frame she's very loud; you can always tell when Squad 43 is nearby because you'll hear Eren shouting. She has a tribe-brother named Fintras.

Private Snuggles is Tufty's twin brother, and where the sister stands barely over a meter tall, Snuggles towers over most people at an impressive 2m 20cm. (They claim this is because he's the older twin.) Though he may look imposing and impressive, and can punch through solid wood if need be, he's really quite good-natured and peaceful -- not the brightest even by wight standards, but steadfast and loyal.
